We are an independent label and since 1991 we have been committed to creating exceptional music productions, primarily at Mont-Saint-Michel, which forms the magnificent setting for our oustanding collection of top quality music recordings available on compact audio disc.

For each project, the technicians of Arcandia Records face the challenge of achieving the ideal balance between the excellence of the artists and the unique atmosphere of the abbey of Mont-Saint-Michel. We use the latest digital technology and the quality of our sound engineering is always a top priority, in which we spare no efforts to capture the beauty of the performance while respecting the unique acoustic qualities of the location.

Our most recent production, never released before, is the recording of the official concert for the Feast of Saint Michael which took place in Autumn 2007 in the Abbey Church. The recording features a baroque orchestra and four leading singers, and comprises three sacred masterpieces by J.S. Bach: the St Michael Cantatas.

The Cantatas represent a hymn to the Archangel whose statue towers over the Abbey Church, and it was the first time these works had been performed at Mont-Saint-Michel.
